- I have, since the game came out, resisted playing Bioshock. Even though it received numerous raves and won countless awards, including several Game of the Year trophies, something about the game (likely its shooter roots) kept me away. I even tried the demo and it wasn't enough to interest me.
- Then I listened to Little Sister by Miracle of Sound. Now I want to play the game. What I really want to know is if Bioshock is as good as the song makes it out to be. Does it have the same haunting tone?
- So, yeah, I'm wondering if the game holds up to the song? How messed up it that?

What the?!?!?!?! You haven't played Bioshock?!?!? It is an awesome game. I finished that game at least three times on the Xbox before purchasing the game on the PC.
ReplyDeleteThe great thing about the PC version is that it looks great and I can use my gamepad.
Given that you can get a PC or Xbox version of it now for cheap as dirt, I can scarcely think of a reason not to play it. The game is simply fantastic. It has one of the best settings and atmosphere I've ever run into. Gameplay is your standard shooter with some utility abilities though.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to echo Jayedub here: What the?!?!?!?! You haven't played Bioshock?!?!?
ReplyDeleteIt's great. We all have our definition of what "haunting tone" means, but the game is "dark" for sure.
@ Jayedub, Straw Fellow, MMOGC - So what you're all saying is that I should play it? (ducks behind something big)
